Martin Luther King, Jr.

We had a quick section on Martin Luther King, Jr., where we discussed the importance of not judging others superficially, treating others fairly, respect, freedom, peaceful protest and equal rights and how one issue can "pave the way" for others in the struggle for equal opportunities.

The short packet she did included a coloring picture of Martin Luther King, Jr. with the words "I Have a Dream", as well as an acrostic poem using the word "FREEDOM".

National Geographic Kids had some nice information for us at the following links:

We tried to watch the "I Have a Dream" speech, but that was a little dry still to hold Tater Tot's attention at such a young age.
